Psalm 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy

Psalm 9:18
For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

The Forgotten

Don't forget to love me, the child lost in the shuffle, forgotten in the mix.
Don't  forget to love me and simply say, "This system someone needs to fix."
Don't forget to love me, the unbelievable and the incurable.
Don't forget to love me and simply say, "Some people are simply unlovable."

Don't forget to love me as you go along life's way.
Don't forget to love me as you
travel day by day.
Don't forget to love me, a forgotten little child.
Don't forget to love me, an old man meek and mild.

Love me as the tears run down my tiny cheek.
Love me as just a smile from  anyone I seek.
Love me as I stand here on this curb.
Love me as you give a dollar you think I don't deserve.

For I know Jesus will love you as you wipe the tears from my eyes.
He will love you as you bless me with a smile.
He will love you as you take th
e time to slow down.
He will love you as you tell the friendless of a friend you found.

Don't forget to love me. one whose mind just isn't quite right.
Don't forget to love me who some detest to have in their sight.
Don't forget to love me as I hunger and I thirst.
Don't forget to love me, the wretched and  the accursed.

Lend a listening ear as I seem to ramble on and on.
Make me believe I am beautiful as to me God's love is shown.
Give me just a little food or drink to end the hunger pains.
Bless me in the name of Jesus to end the curses that have reigned.

For Jesus will look down and love you as you listen to me.
He will love you as you let His beauty shine through for everyone to see.
He will love you as you feed the hungry and give them drink.
He will love you as bless the ones who of themselves so lowly  think.

Don't forget to love me, the homeless and the poor.
Don't forget to love me, the confused and the unsure.
Don't forget to love me as I shiver in the rain and the cold.
Don't forget to love me as I call out to you ever so bold.

Point me toward God's shelter that's always near I pray.
Give just a little of yourself to me today.
Answer with kindness and understanding when on you I call.
Warm me with the love of Jesus Christ, the lover of us all.

For Jesus will look down and shelter you in His arms forever more.
He will love you as you love the forgotten with a heart that's kind and pure.
He will love you as you let the warmth of His love shine in this cold, cold place.
He will love you with everlasting kindness and shower you with His amazing grace.
